The grassroots buzz has become a storm for the band MGMT, with recent appearances on the Live on Letterman Show, concerts at Radio City Music Hall, and sellouts for their current tour in California. Some of their YouTube videos have over 3-million views. Whoa!

We just found this cool video clip of Andrew Vanwyngarden and MGMT playing a Voyage-Air Songwriter guitar offstage at last year's Bonnaroo Music Festival.

Voyage-Air vs. Hurricane

Well, the motorcycle kind of Hurricane: a Honda Hurricane. Turns out that one of our dealers, 'Take Your Guitar' in Chico, CA... well the owner is a certified Motorcycle Nut.

And a guitar player. And... we'll just copy you on an email that he recently sent to us:

"My wife was off to a college class, and our other car was in the shop, so that meant I had only my trusty Honda Hurricane motorcycle for transportation. This was last Thursday night, and I had 'band practice' where I play guitar for my church.

"So I used the backpack straps on the case of my Voyage-Air Premiere VAD-02 Dreadnought, and put the guitar on my back. Cinched down my helmet, and took off down the freeway.

"Tell you what - that Backpack case is stable at speed. Serious. There was no pull, tug, wobble or anything up to xxx MPH! [ed note: exact number deleted to protect this guy's driver's license].

"You would never even know it's there when you're riding at speed. Chalk up another feature for Voyage-Air Guitar, and their amazing backpack case!"

Edward McShane goes Voyage-Air

Edward... who?

Okay, turns out that Edward McShane is a
guitar aficionado : a guitar nut that really appreciates the finest qualities, and the most subtle details of an acoustic guitar. Now, he's a big fan of Voyage-Air guitars.

He recently sent us this note:

"Dear Voyage-Air:

"I can't recall ever writing a company praising their product – even the great ones – but the Voyage-Air guitar is a special case for me. I think any guitar-loving addict like me would feel the same way.

"It is all about being able to take a great sounding guitar with you in the overhead storage rather than having it languish with the luggage and in the baggage bowels of airports.

"I interviewed all the "travel" guitars that were in stock at the San Francisco Guitar Center. They were all wanting of a decent guitar sound. Then, the salesman told me that they recently had a full sized folding neck guitar that really did sound great and that really could be easily folded and put back into play again (with a little tuning.) He said Guitar Center had the guitars on order but I didn't want to wait so I took a chance and ordered the Voyage-Air VAD-2 dreadnaught model online: sight unseen and unheard!

"I figured I would return the guitar if it didn't meet my quality standards.

"I should state here that I have a forty year old Martin D-35 and a Taylor 12 string. I may not have "golden-ears" but I do know what a quality guitar sounds like.

"My new Voyage-Air passed the audition with flying colors. The sound is very good and will only get better with age. The construction and materials are quality, and I can take it anywhere.

"My excitement over this guitar reminds me of when I purchased the first generation iPod: finally I was able to conveniently take my music with me – just like I can now take my guitar with me.

"For a lover of music and guitar playing, who could ask for anything more?

"Now I'm thinking about that electric Voyage-Air.

Cheers,
Edward McShane
