New Belair Limited Edition
at the NAMM Show

Mark Dreyer of the Savannah Music Group recently performed at the NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA. Known as the premiere trade show for musical instrument dealers world-wide, this year’s NAMM Show had over 85,000 in attendance. At the conclusion of the event, Mark Dreyer had nothing but praise for the new Voyage-Air ‘Belair’ model electric guitar.

“Man, this guitar is seriously good, and it has a deep retro-vibe,” said Dreyer. “It’s probably something about the combination of the P90 pickups and the woods: solid Alder for the body, and Canadian Maple for the neck. I was amazed at both the sustain and the harmonics on this guitar. I played it with a Boomerang loop pedal that I’d programmed with some drum loops, and this made for an easy one-man demo at the NAMM show. What surprised me was the range of sounds that I could get with the new Belair guitar, and how easy it was to play. PLUS it folds in half for travel… heck, I’d play this guitar on stage even if it didn’t fold. It’s that good!”

Mark Dreyer was joined by other pro-musicians at the NAMM Show, with performances by Thom Bresh, Steve Noonan, Shawn Mayer, and more – all playing Voyage-Air guitars.

The fact that these stage and recording musicians have adopted the Voyage-Air for their daily work is telling: these are not puny-little ‘travel guitars’ – noway. These are full-size, full-scale professional instruments that are ready for the studio or the stage.

WOW - Delta and Continental pay you $70 to Travel with Voyage-Air

Last year, we wrote a blog about the money you can save by carrying-on a Voyage-Air guitar. Things have changed: now you can save even more!

Today, Delta Airlines announced that your first checked bag will cost you an extra $25 (each way). Whoa! And that's only your first bag - like a suitcase!

Get this: your second checked bag will cost you an extra $35 each way. For most of us, that second bag would be an old-style acoustic guitar. So there you are: $70 round trip saved by carrying-on a Voyage-Air guitar the next time you fly.

Following the Delta Airlines announcement, Continental Airlines announced they were adopting the same pricing guidelines as Delta for additional checked baggage. Look for pricing like this to become more widespread throughout the airline biz. Wow. At these baggage prices, it only takes a few flights to pay for a Voyage-Air guitar.

Bob Kilpatrick - On Stage with Voyage-Air

To those familiar with contemporary Christian music, Bob Kilpatrick needs no introduction. As a radio host at K-LOVE, his 3x-a-day show has nearly 4-million listeners! As a musician, his concerts have drawn over 100,000. Bob's music and message truly reach a world-wide audience.

Last summer Bob had a chance to play a Voyage-Air dreadnought, and was impressed enough that he asked to take one to use at an upcoming concert tour to Naples, Italy. No sooner said than done: Bob took off for Europe with a VAOM-06 equipped with a Baggs I-Beam pickup. And we just got some video from the concert, and comments from Bob about using the guitar on stage.

In Bob's words: "When I first opened and strummed this guitar, both my wife and I could NOT believe how good it sounded. The more I played it, the more I was impressed. And for me, the combination with the LR Baggs pickup just... well, it just worked."

And once he got to Italy? "I played this guitar everywhere. It was so easy to carry. Cars and everything are smaller in Europe. I showed around a lot backstage. Let me just say there are a LOT of ministers who are placing orders for a Voyage-Air guitar."

But what about the concert? "This concert was arranged with the Mayor of Naples, and we had a crowd of 100,000+. It was amazing, and the Voyage-Air worked perfectly. This is a great guitar. Brandon Bee (another composer/musician) is going to be using this guitar next. Everybody wants to play the Voyage-Air!" Click here to see a video clip from the concert!
