Savannah Records’ Dave Gibson and Daisy Dern are teaming up to produce Smokin Hit Songwriters - a special two-day seminar geared to aspiring songwriters. Dave Gibson should know his craft: with six number one hits under his belt, and songs recorded by country music greats such as Alabama, Confederate Railroad and Tanya Tucker.Former Mercury recording artist, and songstress, Daisy Dern will be among the Voyage-Air Guitar players teaching songwriting tips and sharing stories, insights, wisdom, experiences and practical advice about songwriting. In addition, hit songwriter (and an early Voyage-Air endorser) Chris Wallin will be on hand to share his view about how to make a song a hit. With a catalogue of hundreds of chart topping hits, he’ll tell how it feels to write a song like “Don’t Blink” recorded by Kenny Chesney.
A panel will judge a special open mic night session for the first 30 participants to sign up for the seminar, and the winner will receive a one hour writing session with Dave.
